This is a digital folder of my notes, which I’ve created to help me write and produce music. They cover everything you need to know about songwriting, all laid out in straightforward, easy-to-understand diagrams.

These notes will be updated with new knowledge and diagrams over time, but if you’ve already purchased them once, new copies will be available for free once published.

Remember that your or my knowledge can always be improved. If you want me to add anything to the notes, please email me and share whether it’s a specific songwriting topic or information that should be added, and I’ll see what I can do.

Much of this information requires a basic understanding of music theory, Roman numerals, piano and guitar. If you don’t understand some of the notes, I recommend asking someone who has studied music in any way, and they’ll most likely understand the notes.
